Cleaning the skin is one of the most important steps to keep your skin healthy.
There are a few different methods of how you can clean your skin with different types.

1. Cleaning Dry skin

For Dry Skin, you must use Gentle Cleanser that doesn’t have alcohol or fragrance.
These ingredients can damage your skin even more.
Gently wash your skin and rinse with warm water, don’t use hot water, it will remove all your natural oils from your skin faster.

2. Cleaning Oily Skin

For cleaning oily skin you must use oil-free Foaming Cleanser to wash your face and rinse with plenty of warm water.
You can also use a toner or Astringent later, but make sure it doesn’t irritate your skin.
These types of products can help you remove extra oil from your skin making the less shiny along with cleaning your skin.

3. Cleaning Normal / Combination skin

Don’t use whatever soap you get in your bathroom or at your sink to wash your face, and also you don’t have to buy fancy or expensive products either.
You just have to get the products that suit your skin the best.
Get a Gentle Cleanser or soap for your skin applying it into your fingertips. Don’t scrub your face. Rinse it with plenty of warm water and pat it to dry.
NOTE: If your skin dries out or Gets Oily, Try a different Cleanser.

4. Cleaning Sensitive Skin

Use a gentle cleanser for sensitive skin and risen using warm water. Don’t rub your face or skin with a towel, just pat over the skin.
Try not to use products that have alcohol, acid, or fragrance.
Instead, look for products having Aloe, Chamomile, Green tea polyphenols, and Oats.
The fewer the ingredients in your Products, the more healthy your skin will be.

NOTE – If you have Acne or your skin is Oily, Get a Light Weight or Oil-Free Moisturizer. So, it won’t block your Pores.

Using Sunscreen Lotion

The Moisturizer you applied may already have sunscreen on it, but still applying separate sunscreen protection is a better option.
Sun can damage your skin just in 15 minutes.
Get a Sunscreen with Broad-Spectrum of Protection with an SPF of at least 30.
Try to use sunscreen every day, even if it’s not a sunny or cold day.
The best practice is to re-apply it every 2 hours.

How Often Should You Wash Your Face

Too much washing can dry out your skin. So, once in a day is fine for most of the people.
In the morning you can rinse your face with warm water and dry it using a soft towel by patting it.
At night you can wash with a gentle cleanser or soap to get rid of all day’s dirt and make-up.
If you exercise or play sports then definitely wash your face with gentle cleanser or soap, because sweat can make your acne worse by clogging your pores.

Remove All Make-up Before Going to Bed

Working hard all day long makes you exhausted. But don’t go to bed before washing your face, because leaving make-up on your face will clog your pores which leads to acne. So, wash your face with a gentle cleanser or make-up remover.
Using a soft cloth or cotton pads are the best option for removing make-up.
If you are using Acne medications then apply it after cleaning your face or removing all your make-up.

What is Acne and the Reason Why It Cause

Acne usually starts during teenage, Puberty causes your body to make more hormones as a result your skin produces sebum(natural oils) coming out of your pores. Too much of sebum mixing with your dead skin cells will clog your pores and trap the bacteria inside which then causes Acne, resulting – Whiteheads, Blackheads, and pimples.

Remember, always to protect yourself from getting real Tan.

Choosing the Right Make-Up

If you use make-up then choose the products which are labeled with “non-acnegenic” or “noncomedogenic“.
Non-Acnegenic – The label refers to products that won’t clog your pores and are less likely to cause pimples or acne breakouts
Non-Comedogenic – it means the labeled products are not likely to cause comedones (pore blockages)
Such labeled products are less likely to cause Acne or clogging of pores.
Always try to look for the make-up which is water-based and not oil-based.
Water-Based Make-up – These Make-ups are very light on the skin and will not clog pores.
Oil-Based Make-up – These Make-ups are a little thicker, they sit on your skin for a longer period, and they feel heavy and greasy on the skin.
If you have dry skin you can use oil-based make-up, but never use oil-based make-up if you have oily skin.
Tip – Don’t use Mascara for longer than 4 months.
