Neem, Honey, and Milk: Dry, Irritated Skin

When moisture-deficient skin moves into an area of excess dryness with acne, it can be exhausting to deal with. Combining zit-clearing neem with hydrating honey and milk can be a savior. While neem cures acne and irritation on the skin, milk exfoliates gently and honey replenishes all the moisture.

Ingredients:

  • 2 tbsp ground neem paste
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 1/2 tsp milk

Method:

Mix all these and make a paste. Apply liberally and wash off with lukewarm water. Hello, clear and plump skin!

Neem, Multani Mitti, and Yogurt

For: Oily, acne-prone skin

While neem does its job, Multani mitti absorbs any excess oil. Yogurt maintains the suppleness of the skin and rose water acts as hydration support. The result is oil-free and smooth skin and does not leave a dry feel. You can also use kaolin clay instead of Multani mitti.

Ingredients:

  • 2 tbsp crushed neem paste
  • 1 tbsp curd 1
  • tbsp Multani mitti (fuller’s earth)
  • tbsp rose water

Method:

Put all these ingredients in a bowl and whisk well, to avoid lumps. Apply it and wash it with cold water for ten minutes.

Neem, Turmeric, and Tea Tree Oil

For: Severely Acne-Prone Skin

When an acne or pimple swarm has gotten the better of your skin, you need a power-packed solution to the rescue. Enter a blend of turmeric and neem — both antibacterial, antifungal, and anti-inflammatory, which helps reduce stubborn acne and heal those areas as well. You can also add a drop of tea tree oil to enhance the effect.

PS: This is more like a spot treatment than a face mask for your entire face.

Ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoons ground neem paste,
  • 1 drop of tea tree oil
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric

Method:

Make a thick paste by mixing all three ingredients. Apply only on acne-affected areas and wash off with water. Be sure to moisturize the skin with a hydrating serum afterward.
