Natural Hair Growth Tips for Long, Beautiful and Healthy Hair

Long, shiny and healthy hair is an easily achievable goal, provided you dedicate some time towards hair care and follow these useful all-natural healthy hair tips.

Having long, healthy, and beautiful hair is what most women want unless you are the pixie cut type. Maintaining your hair and making sure it looks perfect can be difficult, especially given our erratic lifestyle, pollution, and poor food habits. But the dream of having amazing hair is not impossible to achieve, you just need to know the right things and practice them with dedication. Just follow these simple hair growth beauty tips for healthy hair, and you’ll be sporting locks that even Rapunzel will love.

Hair every 6-8 weeks

Trim your hair regularly. Damaged ends are your hair’s worst enemy. Monthly hair trims help get rid of split-ends and avoid hair fall. Remember that split ends not only spoil the length of your hair but also affect the shine, volume, and smoothness of your hair. Always remember, trimming a bit regularly, is a great tip that will help in hair growth naturally.

Treat it with a hair mask

Hair over shoulder length can be many years old (yes, we’re talking about the lower part of your hair length). So, keep in mind that it requires more TLC than a normal conditioner. Instead, a good hair mask can provide the right kind of pampering to your hair.

Apply a hair mask every two weeks to condition and nourish your hair. Mix a little lemon juice in two egg whites and apply it to the hair. Alternatively, a combination of warm olive oil, cinnamon, and honey can work well as a hair mask. Apply it to wet hair, leave it on for 10 minutes, then shampoo and condition as usual.

Hair Scalp Therapy

Don’t ignore the scalp as it needs the same care as your hair. It is important to keep the hair roots healthy, as dirt, oil, and dead skin cells accumulate on the scalp affecting hair growth can. Massage your scalp with your fingers while shampooing to get the dirt out. For added moisturization, try applying fresh aloe vera gel to the scalp at least once a week, leaving it on for 30 minutes before rinsing off.

Avoid harsh chemicals

We can’t stress this enough – say no to harsh chemical treatments and products that can seriously damage your hair. Go as natural as possible. When it comes to chemicals, less is more, so as much as possible, avoid using overly scented shampoos and even conditioners. The less product you apply, the longer and better your hair will be.

Air dry your hair

We are used to wrapping our hair in a turban after washing it. This can lead to a lot of hair breakage and hair fall. It is better to let the hair dry naturally after wiping the hair gently and pat dry with a soft towel.

Right and Healthy

diet plays an important role in hair growth. Protein is essential for long hair so make sure you are getting enough protein in your diet. This can be done by increasing the intake of protein-rich foods such as dairy, fish, pulses, nuts, eggs, lean meats, and soy. Eat foods that promote hair growth.

Hair Supplements

If nothing seems to work, try taking supplements. Omega 3 fatty acids, biotin (vitamin B1), and zinc are some of the important nutrients to consider. Studies have shown that these supplements increase hair follicles, making hair grow faster, and also stimulating the cells that cause your hair to grow out. If you feel that you are not getting enough of all the nutrients that promote hair growth, consult your doctor and take supplements.

Stay Hydrated

Water is not only good for your body, but it is also good for your hair and skin. Staying hydrated is very important if you want healthy hair. What is the relation between the two? Well, a dehydrated body leads to dehydrated, breakage hair, so make sure you drink enough water every day.

Avoid Very Hot Water

It is a good idea to leave the very hot water on when washing your hair as it weakens the hair, leaving it dry and brittle. Try lukewarm water instead and remember, one last rinse should be with cold water to close the hair follicles and keep them healthy.

Avoid Heat Styling

It can fry your hair, making it brittle and weak, which, in turn, will prevent it from growing longer and stronger. Hot styling hair tools, unless you want breakage and frizz, leaving your locks permanently damaged.

Keep in mind that how you brush your hair is also extremely important as rough and frequent brushing can cause physical damage to your hair. Be especially careful when detangling wet hair, as then maximum damage and hair loss can occur.

Oiling your hair regularly and these natural tips can help you get long hair only if you are consistent and patient.

Use natural coconut oil to nourish the scalp. On average, hair grows about half an inch a month, so don’t expect miracles. Proper hair care and diet as well as minor changes in the way you manage your hair can help you ensure that your hair is long and beautiful.
